Blending Silo

The blending silo and mixer is composed of two independent silos, a charger head and an automatic closing sliding door. It is part fo a large range of recycling products from Lidem which we supply.

It’s an automatic silo for the feeding and blending of textiles and fibres in production processes and recycling lines, such as textile, non-woven, woven, carding and stuffing.

The silos are provided with a lower belt that collects and conveys the material towards the electronically controlled charger head. Emptying and filling each one of the accumulation silos is always carried out independently.

 

It has an extremely robust structure designed for durability and efficiency in production, reaching up to 10,000 Kg. of accumulated material in each of the silos.

The storage and mixing system comprises of two accumulation silos and separate mixer.

The product is supplied through rotary distributors performing equal deposition of the material across the entire silo surface.

Through innovative intelligent control system, the machine is capable of regulating itself according to the load level and scheduled download.

The system is manufactured with innovative technical solutions and advanced technologies that facilitate its management and guarantees high productivity.

The purpose of the storage silos and mixer are, among others:

  • Storing cut materials and repose of sizing material on recycling lines.
  • Storing and mixing fibres in non-woven lines or yarning
  • Diverse material mixtures.
  • Automatic regulation for shredding, non-woven, yarning and filling process.

Operating process.

Feeding.

Feeding silos is carried out by pneumatic conveyor or conveyor belts. The material may come from the cutters and shredders or other lines. Feeding is supplied by two motorised rotary distributors that deposit material deposited in horizontal layers on the silo belt.

Accumulation

The material comes to rest in storage silos. The silo base is a very large conveyor belt with very robust construction that advances by approaching the material against the charger head.

Evacuation

A spiked conveyor located within the charger head is responsible for removing the material.

The charger head is movable and moves over the front of the silos for vertical milling of the matter. Extracting material is uniform for all horizontal layers deposited on the belt, so that a homogeneous and perfect blend of the stored materials is achieved.
