Blending Silo

Blending silos and mixers serve various useful purposes on production lines and are great assets to have on the machine inventory, if you are manufacturing blended fabric. The Lidem blending silo and mixer that we can supply, is a storage and mixing system composed of two independent silos, a separate mixer, a charger head and an automatic closing sliding door.

This is an automatic silo for the feeding and blending of textiles and fibres in production processes and within recycling lines, including textile, non-woven, woven, carding and stuffing. We are, however, also able to offer other silos, including a rag tearer silo.

The Lidem Blending Fabric Silo
The Lidem blending fabric silo is extremely robust, in terms of its structure, and is built to deliver durability and efficiency in the production of blended fabric. It can reach a storage capacity of up to 10,000 kg of accumulated material, in each of the two silos.

The silos are equipped with a lower pneumatic conveyor or conveyor belt, which collects and conveys the material towards the electronically controlled charger head. This material may have come from the cutters and shredders, or from other lines.

A spiked conveyor located within the movable charger head removes the material. The charger head moves over the front of the silos, to enable vertical milling of the material inside. A homogeneous and perfect blend of the stored materials is achieved every time, to help produce top-quality blended fabrics.

The emptying and filling of each of the accumulation silos is always carried out independently. Product is fed by two motorised rotary distributors, which ensure an equal horizontal depositing of material across the entire silo surface. The material then comes to rest in the storage silos, where the charger head can then perform its task.

These blended fabric-focused machines are backed by innovative technical solutions and advanced technologies that facilitate their operation and guarantee high productivity. Through innovative intelligent control systems, they are capable of regulating themselves, according to the load level and scheduled download.

Why use a storage silo and mixer for blended fabric production?
The purpose of the storage silos and mixer are, among others, to:

  • store any cut materials and house sizing material on recycling lines.
  • store and mix fibres in non-woven lines or yarning.
  • help create diverse material mixtures.
  • automatically regulate shredding, non-woven, yarning and filling processes.

Applications
Our silo storage and automatic fabric mixer machines are ideal for production processes that are focused on recycling and reusing materials, as well as being perfect pieces of equipment for those manufacturers who are preparing stuffings or blending fabrics.

They can be used with:

  • natural fibres (cotton, jute, flax, hemp, esparto, sisal, wool)
  • synthetic fibres (nylon, polyester, acrylic)
  • non-woven fabric (wadding, felt, needleloom, heatsetting).
  • non-woven fabric lines
  • carding lines
  • filling lines.

Feeder Silo

When it comes to the storage and distribution of many products, having the right silo is key. A feeder silo is predominantly part of the plant within those businesses where products are being recycled and ultimately reused, but we also offer silos such as rag-tearer silos.

Rag Tearer Silo

The rag tearer shredding silo charger is used for the feeding and dosing of tearing machines. It loads the shredding silo machine, to ensure storage can be achieved, and also provides a continuous and regular mixing and feeding of the tearing machines.

Shredding Mill

The TR model range comprises industrial shredding mills, sized in widths of either 550mm or 870mm, which are high performance machines for the cutting, shredding, grinding, harrowing and tearing for all types of material.
