OLX Flatbed Lamination

The OLX flatbed lamination machine is a compact, flexible flatbed textile bonding machine, available with a 600 (OLX 600N) or 1000mm (OLX 1000N) working width.

This gem is often found handling applications within the clothing industry, such as shirt, jacket and leatherwear projects, but is equally capable of working with many non-woven and film products.

Unlike its larger brothers, the small footprint of this textile bonding machine makes it perfect for use in the technical textile market, where testing and evaluation needs to be done, or small, narrower-width production runs tackled.

OLX flatbed lamination machines can be supplied with several different combinations of in-feed or product winding options, feed table, separate surface wind and unwind, batching arms and so on, so the choice is yours when seeking your perfect textile bonding solution.

This particular machine has heating elements 700mm long and utilises similar parts to the other flatbed machines – seamless anti-static belts, touchscreen operations and various belt cleaning systems – as well as boasting other functionality. The ability to apply up to 60N/sq.cm (up to 6Bar) of direct pressure, helps the textile bonding process, where necessary.

This textile bonding machine weighs only 450kg (600N) or 550kg (1000N), so doesn’t require unnecessary floor strengthening if located on a mezzanine. Power consumption for the OLX 600N averages at around 4.5Kw/h, 7Kw/h max, with the OLX 1000N averaging 5.5Kw/h, 9Kw/h max.

Fusing times are between 4 and 27 seconds, at temperatures of up to 200C. This means the OLX is capable of working as a simple sublimation calendar, for the fixation and setting of disperse and pigment inks and for the heat setting of fabric.

Different products require different parameters to achieve the correct result, so a combination of heat, time and pressure for one product may not suit a different product. Here at i2Europe, our broad experience in this field allows us to advise you on the most suitable combinations for treated, woven, non-woven, mono and bi stretch materials, so please make use of our expertise.
