How does the In-Line Slitter work?
Thanks to efficient web-guide rollers, there is a steady flow of foil, film or paper material, and a straight-edged rewind, every time. Two ionizing bars also make sure that electrostatic charging of foils and films is eliminated.
Depending on the material being cut, slitting is carried out by either rotating knives, stationary knives, cold crush cutters, heated knives or ultrasonic cutters, operating in conjunction with a glass-hard drum. Up to 30 adjustable slitting knives are available.
A pneumatically regulated brake, fitted to the unwinding shaft of the In-line Slitter, ensures constant web tension during the entire winding process, with the brake benefiting from an ultrasonic sensor for the reel diameter.
The operating speed is infinitely variable and can be set as desired. Tilting bearings and pneumatic clamping of the winding shafts, make for easy handling and short set-up times.
Additionally, length selection, by means of programmable electro-mechanical metre counter, is possible and there is optional back-lighting available.
Important Features of the In-line Slitter
- exact laser guide light: positioning of roller cutters, by means of laser guide light.
- longitudinal cutting: exact slitting and rewinding of foil and paper.
- roller knives: pneumatic roller knives cut on a glass-hard drum.
- short set-up times: thanks to tilting bearings and pneumatic clamping shafts.
