Fibre Opening

If you are seeking a fibre opening machine, able to open polyester or hollow siliconized fibres, look no further. Our fibre opening machine’s V-wire carding cylinders make the opening of the fibres a breeze and, with outputs of up to 400kg an hour, this machine is ideal for use in the manufacture of pillows, cushions, comforters, plush toys, sofas and couches, to name but a few applications.

With our fibre opener, the process works like this. The first phase in the filling procedure is that of ‘aperture’, which means breaking open the bales of material that require processing. These are typically polyester fibre bales or hollow, silicon-fibre bales. The bale is placed on the feed belt of the bale opener, before a spiked conveyor breaks the bale open, simultaneously feeding the fibre or carding opener.

Our fibre opening machine can work with open fibre, such as the materials described above, or balls of fibre.

This fibre opener is specially designed to create the optimal amount of openness and volume in the fibres that it is processing. LIDEM offers several versions of the system, depending on the production needs of the customer, with production outputs that can reach 400 kg / hour. The size and consistency of the desired pellet is also adjustable to customer needs.
